Vitamin B-complex
There are several B vitamins that are very important for our body. B vitamins are water soluble vitamins. These vitamins work together and are indispensable for a large number of biochemical processes in our body. They perform many important functions in the body system. Some functions are the conversion of food energy and ensure a well-functioning nervous system.
One speaks of a vitamin B complex, because these vitamins work together and they usually occur together in combination in natural food sources. There are nutrients that also belong to the vitamin B complex such as choline, inositol and folic acid.
As mentioned earlier, B vitamins are involved in many biochemical processes. One of these processes is the biochemical cycle that converts carbohydrates into glucose. They are indispensable for the cycle of energy production. Furthermore, they are also necessary for immune system and nervous system.
The collaboration is evident, among other things, from the fact that our body needs B2 for the activation of vitamin B6. Vitamin B3 can be produced by our body again if there is sufficient vitamin B6 available. Vitamin B12 is also important because it ensures good iron absorption and also works together with folic acid.
The lack of B vitamins can have many effects such as nervousness, depressed feelings, irritability, emotional disorders, digestive problems, skin problems, dizziness, headache, fatigue, etc. One of the main causes is an unhealthy or unbalanced diet. But also in situations such as constant stress, many of these vitamins are consumed by our body.
